Your contact and personal details may be kept by us for future mailings and news. If you do not wish to receive these, please let us know. You may also opt out of receiving emails at any time by contacting us. The booking process asks for your address details and phone numbers, these are required by the Local Authority so at any time we can prove you are not residents at the camp site. It also allows us to contact you should the internet fail and if we need to contact you whilst you are travelling to the campsite.
We will not pass on or sell your details to any third parties.
Minimum booking: 2 nights (3 nights on Bank Holiday weekends.)
To secure your booking 50% of the cost of your stay is required at time of booking with the balance payable 6 weeks before your arrival date. Confirmation of the booking will be sent by email after payment has been received.
The person booking, where they are booking on behalf of other people is responsible for disseminating the appropriate information to those persons that we send them. For example, these Terms and Conditions, Tent Inventory including directions, and on arrival, the Information Pack within each tent, to ensure they are fully aware of the nature of the campsite, Health and Safety issues, the wider woodland, the facilities, and appropriate clothing and footwear they require.
Payment is taken in UK Pounds Sterling only. Online payments are taken through our payment provider Paypal in the name A Chandler (NFK) Ltd. Alternatively, payment can be made by BACS or cheque. Bookings will not be confirmed until all monies have cleared through our bank.
We require a £100 security deposit that is payable on arrival by cheque. This will be returned within 7 days of your departure all being well.
Please let us know as soon as possible. Where changes are possible there will be an administration fee of £25. If you roll over to another date for which a higher sum is charged, you will need to pay the difference.
Changes must be made in writing/email by the person who made the booking.
You cannot change a booking 14 days or less to your arrival date.
Any cancellation or change must be confirmed in writing / email, by the person who made the booking.
Please let us know as soon as possible. If possible your booking can be held over to another date, subject to availability, later in the year or following year. If this option is taken a £25 handling charge will be due. If you roll over to another date for which a higher sum is charged, you will need to pay the difference.
If cancellation is made within 2 weeks of the arrival date 100% of the total sum will not be refunded and cannot be rolled over to a later date. We will try to re-let your booking and if successful will refund you 75% of monies paid. If we are unsuccessful in re-letting your booking we will be unable to make a refund.
We strongly advise visitors to take out full holiday insurance to cover cancellations, public liability, personal belongings, loss etc.
In the event that we need to cancel your holiday due to unforeseeable circumstances, such as, but not limited to, extreme weather conditions or ill health, we shall inform you as soon as possible and refund all money paid to us, by you, within 14 days.
Riddlesworth Park reserves the right to close the Campsite in the unlikely event that unforeseen circumstances make, in our opinion, camping unviable. In these circumstance guests will be refunded proportionately for any period of their holiday untaken. Riddlesworth Park cannot accept liability or responsibility for any loss, including consequential loss caused by cancellation on our part.
Accommodation is generally ready by 3pm so we ask for arrivals between 3pm and 7pm. Please advise us of your estimated arrival time and telephone half an hour before you think that you will arrive. If you are likely to be later than 7pm please let us know so we can arrange for someone to meet you and show you to your accommodation.
Guests are requested to vacate their accommodation by 10 am on day of departure.
We want all our guests to enjoy their time at Riddlesworth Park and therefore ask all guests and visitors to be considerate tenants and to take good care of the tents and facilities during their stay. Guests and visitors agree not to act in any way which would cause disturbance to other guests.
No pets are allowed at the campsite.
No cars are allowed on the campsite. Please park in the car park next to the campsite and use the wheelbarrow to transport your belongings.
Your accommodation (Tents and Pod), the showers, toilets, washing up area and ‘The Shud’ are no smoking areas.
Please leave the accommodation and the facilities as you found them and let us know about any damages when they happen. Should any facilities, equipment, or inventory, be damaged wilfully, as a result of inappropriate usage or behaviour, or a as a direct result of failing to respond to instructions from Riddlesworth Park staff you will be held responsible for the cost of repair or replacement of that item.
Riddlesworth Park cannot accept responsibility from any loss, damage, or expense arising from industrial action, terrorist activity, adverse weather conditions or any other event outside the control of the company.
The Riddlesworth Park site is considered to be a quiet area. Please keep noise to a minimum after 10.30pm. If you there are any complaints about your behaviour you will be given one warning. If you continue then you will be asked to leave the site. No refund will be given.
By Booking and coming to Riddlesworth Park you agree to be responsible for your children and any children you are in charge of, and your own welfare and to take all reasonable precautions against personal injury, injury to others and damage to the woodland, facilities and tent, such as regarding litter, fire, noise after 10pm. Anything you bring to the campsite or wider woodland and any damage or loss to your possessions is at your own risk. You use the facilities and amenities at the camp and wider woodland at your own risk, e.g.the firepits.
Please be aware of the potential danger of fire – particularly in the drier months or when harvest is underway. Candles, tea lights, heaters, lanterns etc (except that provided by Riddlesworth Park) are strictly prohibited.
Riddlesworth Park accepts no responsibility from any loss or injury arising from being in the campsite or wider woodland/ farmland. By booking, acknowledging these Terms and Conditions, you are aware of the risks, hazards, and dangers of personal injury in entering the campsite and surrounding farmland. Please remember this is a working farm.
Camping in Britain can mean dramatic variance in weather in a short period of time ("4 seasons in one day"). Whilst we supply certain facilities and equipment, as described in the inventory, It is still camping and you are responsible for your own well being and comfort regarding appropriate clothing and footwear etc. In extreme weather conditions at the camp, such as exceptional cold and snow, where existing and / or forecast we do our best to warn guests and give guests the option to move dates (subject to availability) without being subject to the cancellation policy administration handling charge, or loss of any monies. Be aware the tents are cotton canvas and in prolonged and heavy rain the tents may leak.
We reserve the right to ask guests who knowingly disregard campsite rules or behave in a manner which causes nuisance and distress to leave Riddlesworth Park immediately and without refund.
Riddlesworth park offers you the chance to camp in the countryside but the freedom of this environment brings with it natural hazards, such as, insects, farming machinery, wildlife and limited lighting at night, so we would ask you to show necessary caution. In particular the safety of your children is your responsibility at all times. We can accept no liability for any loss, damage, accidents or personal injuries arising from your stay at Riddlesworth Park, including adverse weather conditions and other events beyond our control.
